I would expect an MMA teacher to have a rule that says no fighting outside the gym unless you’re defending yourself and a rule that says Avoid getting into or starting fights. So what rules does your MMA teacher have about fighting outside the gym?
Heavy Training Bags - Punching Bags

My trainer will immediately stop training any student who uses the skills he taught us outside of the gym for any purpose other than self-defense, period.
Well I’m a Maui Thai boxer and the only thing is use wisdom #1 the art of thau is not for petty and resolvable issues…basically use wisdom…but in terms of Law after a certain point of training it is illegal to use your gym or in a liscenced fight…
My teacher say use of skills is okay when defending myself or a loved one.
My teacher will not continue to train anyone who uses his skills for anything but pure self defense. He is very strict but it is good that way
Never heard of any such rules in my gym. But Canadians are nice by default
good grades no fighting outside an organized league
Strike first, strike hard, NO MERCY! MMA sucks.
What does my master say? I can use my skills and all my power but only if one condition is met……………to protect one’s own ninja way! jk jk really though, only if its for self defense or if I have to protect a friend or family member. but never use it for something like oh, this guy called me ugly so now I kill! infact, my master tells me if someone calls us ugly, we just say thank you and wallk away.
the very first rule of our gym is no tuff guys. if your a bully or a street fighter you don’t train down there. no, he doesn’t have any thing against the tuff show but it looked cool for the banner. I have seen him kick out guys that only do the sport to get in to the ring/cage just prove that they are bad guys that want to show off.
We don’t offer MMA as seen on TV. We do offer several arts at our school however. We have a very strict policy about fighting outside of the school. If you are seen bulling or using what you have learned to initiate a fight or have not used all the techniques for avoiding conflicts you will be expelled and rank taken away and tuition refunded.
On the other hand if you use what you have learned to help the community or save a life or prevent a crime we will support you as best we can.
dont do it papi
